Journal History
The International Journal of Reconfigurable and Embedded Systems (IJRES) was first published in March 2012 (Vol. 1, No. 1) under the auspices of the Institute of Advanced Engineering and Science (IAES) and currently in collaboration with Intelektual Pustaka Media Utama (IPMU). From its inaugural issue, the journal adopted an open‑access model and a rigorous peer‑review process for articles in the fields of reconfigurable systems, embedded systems, VLSI design, and the Internet of Things.
In its print edition, IJRES carried p‑ISSN 2089‑4864, and a few years later it launched an online version under e‑ISSN 2722‑2608. Since then, every article has been assigned a DOI with the prefix 10.11591/ijres, enhancing visibility and citation tracking across international scholarly platforms.
A significant milestone was reached on August 30, 2021, when the Scopus Content Selection & Advisory Board (CSAB) accepted IJRES for indexing. This endorsement further solidified the journal’s reputation within the global research community.
Today, IJRES continues to publish three issues annually (March, July, and November) as a fully open‑access journal under the Creative Commons Attribution‑ShareAlike 4.0 license. Guided by an editorial board of international experts, the journal remains committed to upholding high standards of peer review and to showcasing the latest advances in reconfigurable and embedded computing.
